Engine Bearings
CTP Tri-Metal bearings (F780) are steel back bearings made of copper alloy, lead and tin with a nickel dam and finished with an electroplated Babbitt surface layer. The F780 alloy has a higher load carrying capacity than aluminum or other copper/lead alloy bearings. Tri-metal bearings can withstand up to 60% higher loads. As a result of this advance technology material, F780 will provide longer life in normal operation and significantly improved fatigue resistance under extreme operating conditions.
